Cookies from are used when you click on any link that takes to you the Amazon site – they contain no personal information, it just adds a link to Amazon telling it that it’s this site you’ve come from. The PayPal cookies are there for if you buy anything as PayPal manages the payments for the shopping cart and any social media cookies are there for if you want to share any of the content.  You can turn any of these off but without them, you may not be able to properly use the features they support.

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

When anyone visits we may use the third party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of our visitor behaviour patterns.

We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site.

As part of the registration process for our newsletter, we collect personal information. We use that information to be able to send you the newsletter or special offers.

We don’t rent or trade email lists with other organisations and businesses.

If you sign up to our newsletter, you’ll find we use a third-party provider, MailChimp, to deliver our newsletter.

You can unsubscribe to general mailings at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of our emails or by emailing email our data protection officer.

Who we share your data with

We do not share your information with anyone unless you agree when we ask you.

How long we retain your data

For users that register on our website, we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except you cannot change your username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

For contact forms, the information is kept indefinitely for administrative purposes as it may relate to a past or future purchase made by you.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us.

You are entitled to view, amend, or delete the personal information that we hold. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. Your account data is stored securely on the website servers and only the website owner can access these details and will only do so to resolve a support problem or if legally obliged to.

We receive no information from third parties except for the confirmation that a purchase has been made.

What automated decision making and/or profiling we do with user data

We do not use any information you give us to profile you. There is no automated decision making processes on this site.
